Also if they can keep tabs on the kids and keep them focused you can use them as an educational tool. Another reason is that if a student has a smartphone they can create presentations for class quicker and easier. One last reason is that they are very helpful during emergencies when they are on you and handy, so you can make a phone call if needed. That is why I think that schools should allow their students to have cell phones on them during school hours.

Should the Rich Pay Higher Taxes?

No, I don't think that the rich should pay hight taxes because in the end, the rich own the businesses and if we take money from them through taxes, then there won't be money there to higher employees, leaving more people without there jobs. It ended being the first one, I was surprised when it started out in a teenage boys boring summer vacation, then a random guy named Steve gave him a pizza job. Then I was once again gladly surprised when a man was attacked by something and instead of telling what was attacking him, the author hooked you and ended the chapter right there and didn't tell you a thing about what was a attacking the man but the fact that the man was shocked by was was latched to the back of his leg.
Finally when I reahed the 2nd part of the book it took a turn of events, now knowing what had attacked the man, something called a guttata, as once again the author surprised me when he decided that Toby and the gang were going to track down the leader of the guttata and in form elliminate the entire group. The author kept me there just wanting to jump into the book and be there myself, kept my face in that book reading my heart out, this author is making me enjoy the surprising things that he has layed out for me to find and enjoy. This is what I found surprising about this book.

Do School Libraries Still Need Printed Books?

I think that school's should still use printed books because on a laptop students will get distracted and might wonder off and play games or other things that are off task, with a book the students will be focus and more engaged in their book. Another reason is that librarians can keep track of what books students read more then if they were using a kindle or laptop. One last reason is that it helps students maintain a longer attention span if they read a printed book. That is why I think that libraries should keep their physical, printed books.

Should School's Band Soda and Candy?

I don't think that schools should band soda and candy because it won't change anything, students will still consume both soda and candy outside of school on there free time, which won't end up helping them but just make them crave them more, and want them more often. Also because it won't teach them how to live a healthy active lifestyle, but it will force them to try. There won't be a motive to lose weight just someone forcing them not to drink them during school hours. Also because nobody is sure that either of the two really cause childhood obesity, so the change would end up being useless. That is my opinion on if schools should band soda and candy from the students.

Is Bottled Water Really Better?

No, I do not think that bottled water really is better. I think this because people would save hundreds of dollars each year if they were to just turn on their sink and just fill a water bottle and take that with you. Another reason would be that 80% of people don't recycle the plastic bottles, but they just throw them into a trash can, where the bottles will sit for hundreds of years, just in a land fill. when they could of just been recycled and reused to make a new bottle. My last reason would be that sometimes tap water is a lot healthier for you then bottled water, because the tap water is tested by the city more often because it is going out to everyone. Bottle factories check their water a lot less leaving more room for the water being unhealthy, making tap water sometime the healthy choice. That is my opinion on if bottled water is really better or not.

November 17th

Change Up By:John Feinstein Page:259
Change-Up By:John Feinstein Page:308 (Done)
Top of the Order By:John Coy Page:110

November 14th

Damage By:A.M.
